Dear Lord:

As we're gathered round this table

For this awaited festive meal

Please hear our prayer of thanksgiving

As we reflect on this past year...

Let us appreciate the gift of family

As we share our love anew

Help us remember those whose Christmas

Is not bright, but oh so blue...

Help us never take for granted

What we anticipate again this year

Let our hearts be filled with gladness

For our friends both far and near...

Be with us as we enjoy this day together

With Christ as our special guest

Make this day to always be

The very, very best ... AMEN.
